The London food scene is booming with underground food events and this week we teamed up with one of the pioneers of the ‘meatup’ craze Daniel Young, of Young&Foodish fame, for his monthly BurgerMonday event, inviting the award winning (and utterly delicious) restaurant, Moro to create the menu.
The event was a tickets only affair and sold out within three minutes of going on sale! The menu for BurgerMonday took influence from Moorish Andalucía, starting with an ice cold Tio Pepe Fino Sherry with a selection of tapas including broad beans with jamon, prawn tortillitas and salt cod & green pepper tortilla.
Next up was the main event – the Hindu Kush Burger, which was inspired by Moro’s Sam and Sam Clark’s travels and was accompanied with some delicately spiced chips, a cucumber yoghurt dressing and sliced red onions – with whole red and green chillies, inviting guests to add their own level of heat.
Mango Lassis topped with pomegranate seeds completed the meal making for a refreshing palate cleanser.
Of course an event at Ozone wouldn’t be complete without showcasing our coffee to all of these London foodies and inviting them for a tour around the roastery downstairs
It was great to see the place so packed with passionate foodies and to team up with Daniel and Sam Sam Clark from Moro – who also brought along a selection of their fab cookery books which were available to buy for foodie inspiration.
